BRAND (Hitachi, Western Digital, etc.) is irrelevant; only configuration and size i important. Generally speaking, every laptop has its own particulars for replacing components, and some are easier than others. Also, it is partially dependent on the dexterity, skill and experience of the person. Suggest you search "upgrading RAM" for this model in YouTube, where you will doubtless find a number of videos showing you the process. Then you can decide for yourself whether you can perform the change yourself.
