Hello MIa. The dispenser lid on the LG - SIGNATURE 5.8 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Front-Load Smart Wi-Fi Washer with TurboWash and Steam - Premium Black Stainless Steel, Model # WM9500HKA slides back when you push it to open it. The maintenance section on page 38 of the owner's manual has instructions for how to remove the detergent dispenser covers and pull out the detergent cups to clean them with warm water and use a soft cloth or brush for cleaning and to remove residue.
