Based on LG's current business strategy, it is highly unlikely that LG will drop the "ThinQ" brand in the near future. The company has fully pivoted ThinQ to represent its Artificial Intelligence (AI) and smart home connectivity platform. LG shifted its focus to its lucrative home appliance division, using ThinQ to connect refrigerators, washing machines, and TVs. ThinQ is now synonymous with LG's "smart home" initiative, and it remains the brand name for LG's IoT (Internet of Things) appliances and app, which is a major part of our overall business strategy. LG will not drop the ThinQ name because it is the brand umbrella for our profitable AI-enabled home appliances and smart home ecosystem. Besides that, the LG H7 soundbar and W7 subwoofer (part of the LG Sound Suite) connect wirelessly using a proprietary technology based on Wi-Fi (5GHz).
