“Why has LG refused to make W/D doors interchangeable to open to either the right or the left? So many people need them to open alternate to what LG offers. Why not make this available to customers?”

Doors have been interchangeable for decades! So ridiculous! I would be buying this unit but it won’t work in my space. I really hope they find themselves stuck with a bunch of these machines. Maybe they will go back to the right design!
