• It does not plug into the main washer. I had to put a power strip behind the washer, as there was only a single 110-volt outlet available. I guess a multi-plug adapter would work too.

• You need a separate 110v outlet for this (I converted my single 110v for my washer to a double, and this works fine in the are circuit). But don't take my advice, consult an electrician.
