I to have the echo but only when I am using aps never on a phone call or music The button on the middle left can add bass and lower high tones. I think the eco is part of the technology that give quality to the music. I find if I make the ear plugs more snug, it sounds better

But I feel it is more the phone's issue then the headset, as I usually hang up and call back and the echo is gone. I have really had no real problems that last with these. The echoing is a minor issue that I contribute to my phone instead since it happens so infrequently.
