I use these everyday for hours on phone calls. I absolutely don't know what I would do if I had to take my phone out of my pocket for every phone call I make or recieve. These head phones do a lot of things really well. But after 9 months of use they are falling apart. The call quality (microphone) is much better than previous versions of these. The battery life is not near as good as previous versions. The sound quality is the best I have heard in a Bluetooth devices. Turning my head to the left will cause the head set to disconnect. This seems to be related to the Bluetooth antenna being on the left side and my neck/head blocking the signal. Glad I bought the geek squad protection plan because LGs warranty return policies are terrible. I can't be without my headphones for two weeks to find out if they will even repair them. These are well used and are hanging on by a thread. The rubber piece in the back has come disconnected from the hard plastic and they just dangle. I am 6'4 and have a larger neck than most. Wearing these 5 days a week for 12hrs a day put a lot of stress on that point of the headset. Also the first time you need to clean the earbuds the little screen that keeps ear gunk from getting into the headphones will come out. There has been a few times that I thought one of the ear buds stopped working only to find out the ear buds were blocked by debris. Ultimately I would recommend these but make sure you get the geek squad plan if you plan on using these everyday. Do not call LG for warranty repairs you will be disappointed. It doesn't matter how nice or not nice you are they stick to their policy. I have tried both.

Let me start by stating that i absolutely love this particular product. If not for the price, I would buy another to have as a backup. The sound quality is excellent. It is very comfortable when wearing. And it is very pretty.

I get intermittent periods of the person on the other end of the call able to understand me or hear me. I especially notice it when I am in my recliner or my bed kind of in a reclined position. 1 thing at least is that everyone isn't telling me that they hear everything else better than me like they were on my LG 900 series that I had before. Also the bluetooth connection is very poor. Can't seem to walk into the next room without them breaking up on me. The cost versus what you get out of this bluetooth headset is definitely not worth the money!

Just make sure if you are a gym goer to get the GS protection they could be a little more durable, my first set broke while working out , needless to say i purchased geek squad protection on second set and have replaced them once no hassle i give this 5-stars. - Mike.H -

I've had LG Tones earphones since the beginning (HBS-730) and it seems that LG doesn't make them to last more than a few months now. My first pair lasted me over two years and I only paid approx. $50 bucks at the time. Now that I've spent more money, I'm disappointed to say that I only manage to have them in one piece for about 6 months before it broke around the rubber part (most flexible part) that sits on the back of your neck. The sound isn't as loud as I would like. Definitely not as loud as the 730 or the LG tone ultra (HBS-810) which was my second pair. Same problem with the ultra, the inner plastic tube that keeps it all together broke just like these platinum ones. I thought because the the platinum has more "real estate" so to speak, that they'll last but that's totally not the case. I have glue holding these things together now...very poorly made but ironically enough, both earbuds still work...for now anyway. How did I break them you ask? I simply dropped them and with my luck, the inner tube to the right side broke first, then the other side broke and now it has multiple fractures everywhere, the thing is literally coming apart, glue and all.

The rubber part that is meant for bending it broke after a month. Maybe just bad luck but I bought it for full price so very dissapointing.

I love the LG platinum series,I use them for work and for working out, when you're on the phone to hear the person clearly and they can hear you and the music sounds great. Very satisfied with my purchase.

These headphones sound great and have a good range. Unfortunately they started coming apart at the connections. First they broke around the neck back then they came apart at the next join by the buttons. I would not recommend these. Very disappointed.

These have amazing sound and clarity for phone calls. Ambient noise is filtered out well, phone calls in a moving car with the window rolled down are clear as a bell. Good sound quality for music as well, not audiophile level good but more than adequate. They are so light I forget I have them around my neck. The retracting ear buds are smooth and easy to operate. On top of all this the battery life is spectacular! I can easily go days with moderate use for phone calls only. It even lasts better than 24 hours with heavy use for both music and calls.

definitely a must for the people that don't like to charge. Battery will last all day without a problem with moderate listening. The sound quality is good however they tend to not stay seated deep in my ear so I lose some. This hasn't caused me an issue and I still consider them the best headphones ive had. I have used these working out also and the sweat hasn't effected them. I would purchase the protection plan due to the fact I have had 2 similar models in the past and the cords wear out on collared shirts etc after 1 to 2 years. Just the nature of design by default. Very comfortable I often wear these around all day listening to music or answering calls, after awhile you forget they are even there.

Very good headset! This was a replacement because the previous model was equally great, but this one is better due ease of use and is very durable. I did like not like having to pay extra because older the model was discontinued after purchasing the ESP. Great sound quality. Simple to use and setup out of the box and the battery life is great! The earbuds are small for the ear canal. Great for traveling.

These headphone are very comfortable and do a great job with noise concealing on the user end. When you are using with the cell phone, people on the other end do hear a little of the background noise. However, I have been told that is still sounds good. I am very happy with the headphones. The battery life is excellent.

Unless your jamming to some tunes these likely aren't for you. I take an inordinate amount of phone calls. I usually run 6-7k minutes a month. Can you imagine how tired my arm would be holding a phone to my face 7000 minutes each month. So having a headset is essential for me. I have never liked how the small in or on ear Bluetooth headsets felt and battery life for those isn't that great. I go through a set of LG tones every year. Granted I am retracting and pulling out the ear buds and generally using mine probably more than most. A few years ago I started out with the 730s then went to the 750s. I had some 900s. All of these had one singular problem background noise. Finally the platinums have made improvements. I don't feel like I have to find a quiet spot to take a call so the person on the other end can hear me. Since I am at construction sites, factories, etc, quiet places can be hard to find. Hear is where these come up a little short in comparison to the price tag. These fit more snug around my neck than previous models. The previous models I have owned also hid behind the collar of my shirt much better. The older models would rest at the base of my neck sort of resting where the collar bone and neck meet. The Platinums however due to the tighter radius appear to hover a few inches above my collar bone especially on the back of my neck, almost like they are floating. I am 6,4 and my neck is above average in size. However the never feel uncomfortable to me. The just look strange floating on my neck about half way up. Secondly the bluetooth is just strange. The connection stutters and cuts out sometimes. Strangely enough if I move away from my phone the connection seems to get better instead of worse. I keep my phone in my pocket most of the time. This seems to be the worst spot for reception. This issue seems to be even worse if other people are using Bluetooth around me. Disclaimer: my phone does have some issues and I think it is related to the Bluetooth radio. However since many other people have noted Bluetooth reception issues I am not holding my breath a new phone will rectify the Bluetooth reception dead spots. Battery life, I get 2 to 2.5 days out of these and like I said before I do a lot of talking this is slightly less than I got with my 900s. Also there is very little warning when the battery starts to die. When the headset says "Battery very low please charge now" It is not joking around. It tells you once and then the headphones shut off very soon after. These seem to take longer to charge than previous models as well. With older models a thirty minute charge would easily get me through the rest of my day. The Platinums take a little longer. I have the LG G5 so I can take full advantage of the Aptx, it does sound better than the other models but for me, not enough to justify the $100 difference in price compared to the next model down. If you were buying these to listen to music and make occasional phone calls and have a G5 or V20, this would be a much bigger selling point. Since I am on the phone so much with work. The last thing I want to do is leave them on and listen to music. In fact, taking them off signifies the end of my work day. I call it "deshackeling" In summary: Better background noise cancelling while on calls than previous models Bluetooth dead spots/ reception issues. Tighter overall fit around the neck than previous models. In my opinion they don't feel as premium as the price tag and name suggest.

These headphones have pleasantly surprised me. They are comfortable to wear. I don't feel them on my neck. The sound quality is really good on calls and listening to music. Battery life is good. It holds connection to my phone while walking around house up to around 20'. I use them while walking and exercising and works well. The only minor issues I've encountered are 1) It kept losing its connection to my iPhone while in a restaurant once with the phone on the table in front of me. 2) A few times I've heard a sound like maybe a low battery notice. In both situations the battery was high. Overall a great set of bluetooth headphones.

I'm a big fan of LG products and having the LG G5 felt that this headset would be a great match. I did my research and bought them. I have to say that the sound is very very nice. I you can truly notice the difference when playing music. The build quality it decent and I haven't had any problem with the battery running out after hours of use. I like that it will do text to voice for text msgs it saves me from having to check my phone when I'm running or busy. I have one complaint though, the connection is flaky. With my phone in my pocket it will frequently cut out momentarily. It doesn't loose the connection with the phone but it will randomly cut-out as if I were out of range or something.

I love these headphones. I used to have the HBS-900 and I upgraded to these. They are amazing and great for all-purpose use. The retractable earbuds are the best and I can never go back to the magnetic ones. Sound quality is great and the sleek design is very fashionable. They easilly tuck under my collared shirt at work or under a t-shirt or polo outside of work ours. I have these on all the time and 90% of the people I meet dont even see them. So they are perfect and would highly recommend it!

I have been purchasing the LG line of Bluetooth headsets for the past 5 years through Best Buy. I have yet to be disappointed with the quality. The Harman/Kardon speakers are excellent, with just the right amount of bass boost. Hands free calling is a must in my line of work, and is crystal clear. I also love the fact that the ear buds are retractable, and when not in use I barely realize I'm wearing the headset, due to it being so light weight. Love 'em!!

Purchased and started using January 2018. Absolutely thrilled with the performance. I wear all day and use on conference calls and phone calls. When traveling I am either listening to music on my Ipod or my Samsung phone. I only keep one bud in unless their is a crying baby on the plane at which point I put the second one in and drowned out the noise. The sound quality is great. I also use when mowing the grass to listen to music and drowned out the noise from the mower/weedeater. While they may not be waterproof I live in the Houston area and sweat pretty heavily when mowing. I have had zero issues with it and it is so comfortable unlike the apple style earbuds which hurt my ears after a short period of time. After reading reviews on the newer model HBS 1125 I am wondering if I should buy another pair before they disappear. I do not miss the days of holding the phone to my ear. I seldom write reviews until the product has proved itself. While it has only been 18 months of daily use I am confident at this point that I got my monies worth. I even bought my Mother a set as she always had me on speakerphone because it hurt her arm to hold the phone to hear ear. She loves it as well. MM

I love the feel of these new headsets. Very nice design, feel weightless on the neck. Audio sounds crisp and clear, my only complaint is they are not loud enough. I tried on my friends HBS-910 (latest infinim model) and they are much louder, while keeping the sound clarity intact.
