• I estimate a similar sound, but definitely better tool. PK5 has action grips, LED Beat lighting, and a longer lasting battery than the PK3.

• The sound is just a bit louder and the bass a bit deeper than the PK3. Just like the PK7 has deeper and richer tones than the PK5. That's not really a drawback though because they all sound awesome in their own way. I think the Best Buy employees were getting a bit annoyed with me cranking up the volume to test these before I made my purchase.
