“I have a modem with wifi built in and I have another router connected to the modem through ethernet cable that I use for far away rooms and I tried using it for xbox one with a ethernet cable but double nat problem. Will this fix that.”

I use it to get wired LAN input to my xbox's and TVs. Works great.

If it is not a gigabit router do it is possible that you may choke the speed . Connecting gigabit switch may resolve issue. Please verify also that network cable does not have issues.

The live internet wire goes into the specified slot and the other slots are for whatever you hardware in. Buy one with more slots than you think you need for just in case you end up with additional needs later on.
