• I bought an Arris TM722 and I've been very happy with it. I've been getting double the speed for free because of the Docsis 3.0. If you don't get the TM722, make sure you get a DOCSIS 3.0 if you're on comcast.

• With a fast router you want a modem that will give you the best performance. Comcast permits new hardware and over time prevents old hardware. I have two 6191 routers. Pricey but I consistently get speeds above what I pay for, to the tune of 20%. I think the 6183 is good too.
