Mine Linksys is doing the same thing. Personally I like Netgear Routers and actually have the Linksys and a Netgear in my setup. My older Netgear model Nighthawk X6 has worked flawlessly. There is a newer version of it out now but I would recommend that one over the Linksys.

I have triband routers and they dont have the speed or distance that a mu-mimo router has. Make sure you get one that has a fast processor and good amount of ram. the ea8500 has a 1.4 ghz processor with 512 mb of ram. I notice a great speed jump when using youtube and downloading files. Another good router is the wrt1900acs, but it is a single user mimo router and has a 1.6 processor with 512 mb of ram. hope this helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had overheating problems with a few of the EA series of Linksys routers. I purchased a laptop cooling pad, and connected it to usb port of the router. Problem solved.
