Does the Lynksys AC750 create a new network? null

Yes and No. The Lynksys will start a new WiFi connection of for each that you have with an -ext. For example, if your WiFi network is call HomeAlone, when the Lynksys is operating you will still see HomeAlone but also HomeAlone-ext. If you want to use the HomeAlone-ext, you will have to log in to it. It will have the same password but you will have to log on the first time like it was a new network.
