“My WiFi router is 5g. Will the extender give the option of connecting to 5g or 2g? Some of my older equipment only works on a 2.4g connection.”

Yes it will, following the instructions, you first set it up for 2.4 then 5g. I'm assuming your router has both. Works great, My xfinity had a weak signal in garage, once I connected the range extender, I had max bars on the extender and was able to connect my Smart bulbs and Smart switches Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Per instructions you set the unit up for 2.4 gig then it gives you the option to also set it up for 5 gig. You might even be able to bypass the 2.4 gig setup and go straight to the 5 gig setup. I set my unit to 2.4 gig because the router is 2.4 gig and bypassed the 5 gig setting.
