• It works. That is what I did to extend the ethernet cable to my hub in the garage through wi-fi. The hub connects to wi-fi, then you can use ethernet cable to network a device.

• Yes, Scott. You can hardwire a device to the Ethernet port of the extender to get an internet connection.
