“I have a small house. Everything is set up in back room where my computer is. , but very low wifi signal in front room .Will this boost the wifi in my front room and where do I put it ,In the room with my computer or in front room where signal is low.”

The software helps you place it in the correct location. Ideally you will want to place it towards the front of the house before the signal gets weak and then the front of the house will be covered by the linksys. The software will show you the signal strength where you have it placed in an outlet and if it’s within a good signal range

You can place the extender in between the front and back room so long as it gets at least 3 WiFi bars from the router.
