Let's not forget the key words in the question, "metal siding". Your barn's basically a signal reflector, The only way to guarantee any sort of a good signal would be to run cable out to it and hook up an access point internally. Range extenders might help, but it'll be a crapshoot.

This can boost signal approximately 80 feet or 26 yards, Kycountryboy213. To improve the extender's performance, ensure it is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal or is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi.
