Yes to both questions. I have unique names for all three and turn off broadcasts for the 2.4 band which is only used by my old legacy devices.

I would chat or call Linksys support and they would be able to answer the question better as I brought a router and extenders before the velop and was told that my chooses for seamless roaming would not work and they recommend the velop instead.

Hi, Bios. Yes, you can separate the bands via SSID on the web user interface of the Linksys MX8503 but there is no option to hide the SSID.
