“I have a linksystem AX6000 router that says it is mesh capable. Can I use a Velop AC2200 mesh node with this router. How would I set up the two units to work together?”

you can use a simple $20 repeater plug in if you like. however, you will not get all of what's available with the radio frequencies unless you use a AX 6 expansion product which are up to 4 times more than the router.
