I’m pretty sure the extender will help. When our router was moved from attic to living room, I had to get the extender for upstairs. It works pretty good. I think our signal may be weak sometimes from Suddenlink. We had to reset our devices with the WiFi password.

My router is at one end of the house and I have computer and phone connection issues at the other end of the house. I installed the Linksys 2,000 sq. ft. range extender approximately in the middle of the house. The range extender must pass through walls to reach the other end of the house, but it does go through the walls. Connection is strong. I have a dual band WiFi router, 2G and 5G. Because of the distance at the far end of the house, the computer and phone use the 2G band. Everything else is on 5G. I hope this helps.
