• There is no point to doing this. If you have a smart TV it can already connect to the internet.

• No, you would need to install the drivers in order for this to work which is not an option with smart tv's. You might want to try an Ethernet bridge or adapter.

• Very doubtful. Needs windows based OS drivers to function. Very doubtfull that TV’s operations system would recognize it or know what to do with it. If TVs WiFi has failed/burnt out, your best bet is a Roku or Fire stick, so you can have access to those devices streaming apps. You’ll no longer be able to use the TVs on board apps.
