• No it is only a link to another device that must have an internet connection . Look into a company called ViaSat for extremely rural places and soon you may get satellite service from a few providers like SpaceX and Amazon to name a few..

• No, this device is for connecting a device that doesn't normallyhave the ability to connect to WiFi, to an existing wireless internet connection. For a remote area, try looking into satellite or cellular internet options, they won't be very fast, but they'll get the job done.
