Basically dual band have 2 frequency radio "bands" that it can use to send and receive data. The tri-band would have 3. I have the Linksys Velop system and it works well. I have had no issues, purchased it about 2 months ago. I don't know what AC1300 or AC2600 refers to. It sounds like model numbers to me.
