So is my second node completely wellness? I just plug it in to power and it broadcasts the signal from the connected one? Can I use it in my basement then take it outside or even possibly my neighbors? null

The nodes work together and need to be somewhat near each other. The app is required for setup and it checks to make sure the nodes are placed properly. If you took it outside or next door it might not be able to communicate with the other nodes.

Yes. Only one node must be connected to the cable modem. But the others still require AC power and must remain close enough to the next node to remain part of the mesh network. As each node is installed, the app will tell you if the location is good for the network. With three nodes, you are supposed to have enough range to cover a 6000 square foot home, which is pretty massive. So yes, in theory you could reach a large yard (with a long extension cord) or even a neighbors house

That is correct. Each Velop node is connected back to the parent node or through other nodes to deliver your internet connection. Although Velop nodes are not rated for outdoor use, wireless signal will certainly extend outdoors, reach a detached garage...etc.

Yes the second and third nodes are completely wireless except for power. The nodes talk to each other wirelessly.

The 2nd and 3rd nodes are completely wireless accept for the power cord. You will need to utilize the Linksys App to set up the additional nodes, but you can place the nodes anywhere that they are in signal range of the "parent" node. 

In theory, if your neighbor is fairly close such as an apartment or suburb housing development, then yes, it could be possible to place a node in their home and make it work. I am sure, however, this uses is not the intent of the developer.
