• The nodes have two switch ports per node. You can hard wire but it doesn't make your devices faster, just makes for a more reliable connection. Speeds will depend on your ISP, what you're paying for and your modem.

• Yes but you’ll need to get an Ethernet switch. These only have 2 Ethernet ports and I’d recommend a wired network between then if you can help it.

• No, you need a Linksys router with USB connections and ports. I would recommend the MAX-STREAM AC5400 or the WRT AC3200.
