• I don't know about the per unit costs but make sure you are comparing tri band to tri band and not to the dual band model. You can use up to 5 nodes with a single SSID.

• Yes, you can add as many devices as needed. Make sure that the two pack you are looking at are the same exact model as the 3 pack. They have different series that have different specs. I have also found that they all vary in price depending on what specials are running.
