is this better than my AT&Tmodem null

Not knowing what AT&T modem you have, it is hard to answer. This device is most likely better than the AT&T modem. AT&T is not known for sending out top of the line hardware (IMO).

Yes, my AT&T modem was streaming around 85 Mb per second via Wi-Fi. Once I plugged this in to the modem and used the Wi-Fi from this unit, my Wi-Fi speeds increased to around 650 Mb per second.

I feel it is a good deal, my signal is much stronger through out the house. My Arlo cameras have a better picture.

Hi. The Velop Tri-band does have a better Wi-Fi coverage than most regular routers since it takes advantage of a Mesh Wi-Fi Network system.
