As with nearly all other WiFi systems, your iPad Mini should be able to connect to your Velop. It may source the devices in 2.4 GHz rather than 5 GHz, however, they should be connected.

Use the Apple store the load the Linksys app and it will let you know about compatibility. As for Wi-Fi, yes, but most likely a better signal.

I own a IPad 2nd Generation which predates the IPad mini, and the WiFi works great. As for setting up the product, IDK because I used my IPhone 6SPlus. Set up was easy, although the IPhone was instrumental in the setup acting as the middleman if you would!
