Honestly, you never know how well it will work until you actually buy the product and try it out. I would buy it from a bricks and mortar Best Buy to make return/exchange easier, if necessary. There are so many factors that will affect range (line of sight, walls, wood vs steel structure, other WiFi devices, etc.)
