It will definitely improve. I also have att and the router they leased. I am having issues with my internet but this will help your dead spots. Only thing is what ever you have connected to your att router WiFi will probably need to be set up to these like printers, sound systems TVs

I had a little trouble getting an initial handshake between the master and slave nodes that just required me to do initial setup with them right next to each other. After that I moved the slave node to the other side of my home and everything works great with smooth transitions and no data drops.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a distinct improvement and works well but you do away with the router and plug one of these into the modem using the router Ethernet cable. The other is a stand-alone within range. You can always add units to expand to eliminate the blank zones.
