No it does not they just plug into the wall. The phone app walks you through the install very easy

Our system only requires the main unit to be plugged into the Ethernet from the modem. The other unit is completely wireless, but can be directly wired if needed (example-an old computer with no WiFi). Hope this helps!!

I haven't set mine up yet but the main pod needs to be connected to the ethernet port in your router/modem and the second pod connected to a power out and will provide whole house coverage.
