“The first floor of my home has plaster and wire lath walls and ceiling. The living room (where the internet modem is located) seems to act like a Faraday Cage, causing inconsistent access! Would the Velop system be a work around for this problem?”

The Velop system is a Tri-Band AC2200 (867 + 867 + 400 Mbps) and provides a range up to 2,000 sq ft, Caged. But, actual ranges will vary depending on wireless obstructions, operating environments and building material.

You can place one node in the living room, another node another room but with line of sight with the first node (to get the best signal if it’s poor) and then the third node can be placed anywhere since it will piggyback off of the second node. Hope it helps.
