• Great question! The Lively Flip phone doesn't come with a sim card.

• this phone can only work with the lively / greatcall system, which is quite expensive to use. greatcall mainly sells this as a somewhat pricey security (i've fallen and i can't get up) device, and secondarily as a phone. greatcall says it will not work on any other phone network - even though greatcall seems to use the verizon network for transmission. phone is made by alcatel, but is specific to greatcall network. alcatel 'go flip 3' seems to be a similar, general purpose phone.
