||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This phone does many things, not just make and receive calls. Flash light, magnification glass, etc. It has been an adventure to discover all it can do. I needed the help of a Geek. It fits in my pocket so I have it near all the time. It charges quickly. Many useful adjustments like ring volume. It has a great speaker option so others can join a conversation. Many contacts can be added. But they have to be added one by one, not copied from another device. Good value because you can pay less per month when you opt out of features you do not want.

Great Phone but could not keep my old number
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.The phone is great but the sales man that help me with my purchase was not up on his accuracy everything I wanted I had it already picked out on my iPhone it was nothing to discuss other than making out the paper for the flip phone Jetter Bug I wanted to keep my old number he said it was no problem but he sent the paper work in and My phone company to send me my six digit number but Jetter Bug carrier had the wrong number that I was supposed to keep so I never got to keep my number that I wanted from my old phone not very happy I would recommend the phone but you might want to go somewhere else to buy it

Can't Transfer Contacts Info From Old Phone
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.BIG DISAPPOINTMENT was no way to transfer names, numbers, and pictures from his old phone to the Lively. Internet access was shut down to old phone with transfer of number to Lively. Otherwise it's okay. Bought this as a birthday gift for my husband, who isn't internet savvy, but his traveling job requires a phone and the element of safety Lively provides.

A Decent Flip Phone - FINALLY
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Flip phones are not what they used to be. Most of them today get terrible reviews. So far, I am satisfied with the Jitterbug. Battery life is good, calls are easy to make, and the sound is good. I lost my Gen3 service, so I had to get a new phone. Transferring my old number was relatively easy. One thing I don't like, with Call History, inbound and outbound are lumped together, and you have either to delete them all, or keep them all. This is terrible!

Not user friendly,
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.The phone itself is great. Nice easy to read screens. Battery recharges quickly and holds charge for a long time. Unfortunately the software running it is very user unfriendly. It takes too many button presses just to make a simple call. It should have speed dialing where certain important contacts are assigned a single digit so an elderly person could open the phone and just press and hold one number and the phone would dial the person associated with that number. It should have call waiting so while talking to one person you could see that someone else is trying to reach you and you'd be able to switch over to that new caller. As it is now if you're already using the phone another person trying to reach you is sent directly to your voice mail. If they choose not to leave a message you're not even notified you had a missed call. I would never recommend this phone for an elderly person.

- A:Answer NO! I cannot find such an option. This is a HUGE problem for my 87-yr-old mother. I wish I saw this comment before we bought it. I *specifically* bought this New "Lively FLIP" cell phone (formerly called Jitterbug) assuming one would be connected to the caller when the flip top was opened. But no--- she has to 1) first flip open the cover AND then 2) find the "OK" button AND then 3) press the "OK" button (a non-descript button buried in the third row). She has a hard time with this. They could have at least made the "OK" button larger and/or Green. WTH! As such, she's unable to answer calls. NOT GOOD - as I now have to leave work & drive to her house to make sure she is ok (she had a bad fall last month). With her previous flip phone there was an immediate connection once the top was flipped open. The inability to EASILY answer a phone call is a major deal breaker for me. This phone is going back- such a huge waste of my time & money. This is NOT an "easy-to-use" cell phone for the elderly.

- A:Answer I have it on the maximum volume and the sound quality is still very weak - I have good hearing and compared to my iphone, the sound quality is just horrible - considering that this phone is designed for seniors who generally have hearing difficulties, one would think more effort would have gone into the design of the phone to ensure superior sound quality.

- A:Answer THE ANSWER IS INCORRECT. If you use the menus to clear all of your call history, it does NOT clear missed calls. They still remain up there, unwanted. Please answer the question correctly. Is there a way to delete missed calls? If not, they will eventually fill up memory. Is there a limit to the number of missed calls that will be displayed? - A:Answer The Lively has upgraded some specs and adds Alexa. But since it removed speed dial and Alexa integration is buggy and requires a multi step conversation to make a call, the original Jitterbug is a better option for those less technical or vision-impaired. After trying to make it work, I had to switch my mom back to the Jitterbug.
