The Lively has upgraded some specs and adds Alexa. But since it removed speed dial and Alexa integration is buggy and requires a multi step conversation to make a call, the original Jitterbug is a better option for those less technical or vision-impaired. After trying to make it work, I had to switch my mom back to the Jitterbug.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I called to buy the Jitterbug flip but received the Lively flip. It's terrible for my elderly mother with impaired vision. I'm the favorite contact and it still requires her to arrow down twice, hit ok, arrow down three times and hit ok three times. That's ridiculous! Even after practicing for two months she can only manage to call me once out of 5 tries. Even worse, the volume toggle us located where her hand touches the phone when she opens it and, therefore, she is constantly accidentally muting it. Even to answer an incoming call requires finding and hitting the ok button. This phone is harder to use than her old Verizon flip phone.
