I have it on the maximum volume and the sound quality is still very weak - I have good hearing and compared to my iphone, the sound quality is just horrible - considering that this phone is designed for seniors who generally have hearing difficulties, one would think more effort would have gone into the design of the phone to ensure superior sound quality.

I was having trouble when I would sit on the couch with the phone. Could not hear it ring. Also, the Lively shows the battery and time when phone is open.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Essentially you should shop for a unlocked phone that offers good volume. Then contact TING for their SIM card, monthly cost for unlimited talk and text is about $15 which includes all charges. I found Jitterbug phones to be less than desirable.
