“My Macbook Pro (2021 M1 chip) doesn't have a USB A port to plug this into. I tried one using a USB A to USB C adaptor. The cam didn't turn on, & wasn't recognized on the Mac. I returned it to seller as defective. Is it compatible?”

Hello MountainSufi, the 4K Pro webcam is compatible with your Mac as long as you're running macOS 10.10 or later. Also, for an adapter, you'll have to make sure it can support USB 3.1 or else it won't work. Lastly, depending on which platform you're using, make sure you select the webcam as your source of input in the Camera settings of your preferred platform.
