- Answer The webcam doesn't have storage in it - it is used to interface video and microphone to a host computer through its USB connection. You can record videos on your computer using Cheese (Linux) or similar software able to record from a webcam.

Questionwould this work for video game broadcasting? if so, how does the camera connect to the device? Ex: Bluetooth, direct with usb, etc...My main concern is I want to place the camera in the opposite corner of the room of where the console is located.

- Answer I'm not sure if it would work for a console, but this one is a wired USB webcam. I use it when I stream to Twitch on my PC.

- Answer The age of the computer itself isn't a limiting factor, as long as it has an available USB connection. The operating system will determine compatibility, and I have used this webcam with Linux Mint 18.x and MS Windows 7 successfully. Windows will have to fetch drivers with Windows Updates, and it plugged and played in Linux.
