• If you download the Logitech app for the M575 it will allow you to modify the functions of the buttons and the scroll wheel, as well as the ballistics/sensitivity of the trackball.

• Use the Logi Actions+ software to remap the buttons. I have to additionally put a elevated brace (like a paperback book) to rest my fingers out of the way.
