I use mine for the same game--Microsoft Flight Simulator X on my laptop. Unless 2000 and X are that different, there should be controller options in the settings for things like calibrating and assigning buttons for certain tasks (button 8 to "raise flaps," etc.). You should be able to "test" the joystick in calibration before you go into a flight.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You might be out of luck there, the simulator is too old to match up with the software of the new stick drivers. I guess that's no help but maybe, maybe, if you could get some old Logitech drivers and see if they will work with the newer stick then try the simulator to see what happens. Perhaps the as the old saying goes newer is not always better!
