Yes. Some games will require the DirectInput mode, where other games will require XInput (aka XBox 360 mode).

previous games and controllers typically aren't working with windows 10 unless maybe if you're a programmer and / or maybe if you're willing to spend hours trying to find fixes - a lot of those aren't working either
