Is the scroll wheel supposed to roll freely? If I spin it it, will not stop spinning until I stop it. null

There is button just behind the scroll wheel push that button down pretty hard you will feel a large click. That click you hear will switch the scroll wheel between free spinning and a more traditional scroll wheel that youre looking for.

There is a button next to the wheel. You can click it to make it free spin or not.

It has 2 modes. First is locked, you can scroll as long as you're using your fingers on it. Second, is free scrolling. Like the scrolling doesn't stop depending on the strength applied to the wheel. Kinda like wheel of fortune.

There is a button right below the scroll wheel if you click it down the wheel will function normally and vice versa.

It’s a setting in the scroll wheel if you want it to have some resistance/detents click the button right behind the scroll wheel
