• No, you do not need to plug anything into your MacBook to connect with bluetooth. I had the same issue with Logitech and I needed multiple adapters to use keyboard and mouse since I had to go from USB to USBc. This bluetooth keyboard (and paired mouse) has no hard connections of any kind.

• This keyboard is Bluetooth, so you’ll pair it in the Bluetooth menu in MacOS. There’s nothing to plug in. It doesn’t even come with the USB receiver.
