• The "blank screen" is actually a mouse pad with buttons below it. It doesn't light up at all but it has an on/off switch on the top of it.

• The area on the right is a mouse pad. The unit has an on and off switch at the top of the keyboard.

• That is not a screen but a touchpad. This is a keyboard mouse combo device. There is no indicator light to show that the keyboard is on, however, with a battery powered device that would be an undesirable feature as it would drain unnecessarily. When on the switch exposes a green sticker and when off red.

• There are no indicators on the keyboard. The right side of the keyboard is a mouse pad with two mouse buttons on the bottom.
