• Yes. Though they are membrane keys, Logitech does a great job of mimicking a mechanical feel. There is a difference, but it is subtle.

• Yes, it is mechanical in the sense that you have to physically depress a key that moves, making the key it a mechanism, but the key activates a membrane with a circuit and a contact switch in it.
