Yes you can use this cable outdoor, I hid mine behind behind the vinyl siding on the house. As many cable you would like to put together you can but the more that is put together you lose quality in video it would be better to measure the length you need and get the cable that best fits.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not run this cable outside. The jacket is not rated for outdoor applications. I can't answer the second question since I don't know the power output of the device you are running it from, or the power that is used by the camera. The cable will have a percentage of loss in signal, which is something else I would have to research.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do not link multiple cables together. Purchase a cable long enough for the distance between the camera and the DVR with enough length left over for attachment within the area designated for surveillance. The cables must be covered outdoors. If possible, run the cables beneath the siding or run the cables inside a conduit attached to the outside of the structure. The cable will travel a lesser distance if you run the cable through the box that is attached to the floor joists above the basement or crawlspace and run the cable inside the basement/crawlspace to the location for the DVR and up through a hole in the floor or inside the walls. Another option is entering the attic at the camera's location and running the cable inside the attic and/or a wall to the DVR depending on the number of floors in the building and where the DVR is located. Sorry there is not an easier a solution but it will be awesome when you get the surveillance running!
