According to the Lowebro web site, it is weather resistant. I would say that it is not water proof. The web site also says that they do not yet make water proof bags for it. You would likely need to get your own 3rd party water proof bag for it. http://store.lowepro.com/tahoe-bp-150
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say it's water resistant, not waterproof. Light mist or spills o.k. but a real and repeated downpour might be a problem. Have not had it in rainforest. Yet. A pack cover would be cheap insurance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it is water resistant. The zippers are not insulated but if you rain from a 5 min walk will be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is water resistant
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Water-resistant for sure. I would buy a protective sleeve if it was going to get soaked or in a sustained wet situation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It could handle raindrops, but don't drop it in water.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the backpack is not waterproof.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is padding between the canvas exterior and interior nylon fabric. The exterior canvas will ward off a lot of rain drops, but if it was a huge down pour I would expect the water to get into the middle padding (feels like foam) and weigh the union down dramatically, and slow the dry-out process. If I were going to the Amazon, I would choose a backpack (not this one) with NO internal padding (fully nylon) so it would dry out all the faster if it were saturated with water. This backpack is going to the Caribbean islands.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, definitely not!
