I'm not that familiar with the size of the Nikon D500, but I do believe it should fit with the battery grip installed. I use the bag to carry my Sony A68, and it works very well.

        Is it waterproof?   (10 Answers)

I am going to the Amazon this summer and want to know if it can hold up to the rain if I get rained on.

I would say it's water resistant, not waterproof. Light mist or spills o.k. but a real and repeated downpour might be a problem. Have not had it in rainforest. Yet. A pack cover would be cheap insurance.

I am carrying a Nikon 3000 camera with a 70-300 lense. Also taking the original 18-55 lense and a smaller 2X lens. Two Batteries, 2 chargers, a mini video camcorder and still have a compartment for cleaners and other misc. items. it also has a front pocket, a larger flat pocket with room for tablet, (which I'll be carrying two) or an smaller computer, along with several pockets to put passport, credit cards, pens/pencils, etc. also has two side pockets for water bottle and possibly a small tripod.
