• When you start up the MacBook, it will ask if you want to transfer info from an old computer (Mac or PC), or also external hard disk (like time machine). I transfered from the hard drive of my old Mac that I converted into an external hard disk (buying an enclosure online), and I just had to plug it in and click the option. Should work when transfering from others too, though you may need to check you have a cable that can connect the two computers.
