- Answer It definitely does not use DDR3. This Macbook pro uses DDR4 unified memory.

- Answer Not entirely sure either, I asked the online chat service but they could not give me an answer either. Simply said, “looks like we don’t carry the 16gb version.” Not carrying the 16gb version is a huge miscalculation on Best Buy’s part, especially for college students. All engineering students NEED 16gb RAM.
