• To the best of my knowledge it is used to maintain the functions of your steering wheel buttons on aftermarket stereo.

• This device works very well. It allows me to use the factory steering wheel buttons to control my new sound system. Thank you for suggesting and installing it. Your install man did a fantastic job making everything look and work like it came with the vehicle from the factory.
